Mattias Welin

Mattias Welin was born 1965 in Växjö, Sweden.
Educated at Skurups Folkhögskola 87' - 88' and at Kungliga Musikhögskolan, Stockholm 89' -91'.
He has been working since 96' as a professional musician and started making his appearance on the Swedish jazz scene with tours with trumpeter Magnus Broo´s first album »Sudden Joy». Since then he is performing regularly with many of the Swedish jazz artists such as MAGGI OLIN BAND, Fredrik Ljungkvist's Yun Kan Five and international musicians such as Ingrid Jensen, David Berkman, Gerald Cleaver etc.
